Had a great experience creating two flags. The first one has a satin metal finish with a birch hardwood backing treated with pecan stain.
The second flag has a hammered metal finish with a birch hardwood backing. The wood was torched and finished with a pecan stain.
One point about the tacks, sometimes they're not too stable so I added a drop of super glue to each one and that solved the concern.

I purchased the 36” x 19.5” DIY stainless flag for a co worker’s firefighter retirement gift. I was initially worried if I would receive the flag in time to complete the project before the retirement party as I only had a few days to do it. To my surprise it arrived at my door 24 hours after it was purchased. It was carefully packaged with plenty of foam to prevent any damage while en route. It was just as described and it fit my 3/4” oak cut to size perfectly. I torched it lightly with my propane torch and then applied a quick coat of pecan stain. I had the flag powder coated and then secured with the provided decorative tags and some small pieces of gorilla glue double sided tape. It turned out great!! I will definitely be ordering from them again for future projects!!

The colors just popped out. Used red oak for the wood backboard. The tacks didn't work so well in the oak on the top and bottom of the flag (bent four). The tacks worked fine on the sides (end grain).

Great looking flag, I expected it to be made out of sheet metal however it matches all of my stainless steel in my restaurant. Way better than I expected and compares to some I've been looking at over $200.

Had the idea to use the steel flag as the face for a hidden gun cabinet. Used the Krylon Hammered Black like in your video and the Gorilla double sided tape as well. Opens with a key card or fob.

Excellent service and product. The only think i might do differently would be to use some steel wool to smooth out the stainless surface. Planning to order materials to do a 36" wooden flag before I start getting creative.
